About this Piece

In commemorating LeRoy’s centennial, we have reprinted a limited run of P.J. Clarke’s posters. 915 Third Avenue became a frequent hang out for LeRoy throughout his 48-year tenure in New York City. P.J. Clarke’s was opened in 1884 and is one of the most historic hang outs for New Yorkers and celebrities alike. This classic Neiman scene, was originally painted in 1978. The focus of this energetic bar scene is the bartenders running to joint, but surrounding them are the faces in the crowd including the likes of Sinatra, Jackie O and Neiman himself.
